Meet the class at the F train at the Kew Gardens stop located at Union Turnpike and Queens Blvd at 8:15am. We will be returning at 2:30.
What (not) to bring
For your own security and that of United Nations employees, we ask you to go through security screening before entering the Visitors Centre of the United Nations Headquarters.
Read this comprehensive list of “what not to bring” items:
The following items are strictly prohibited:
· any liquid, including water
· cans and bottles
· food or beverages
· backpacks and bags larger than 14" wide x 13" high x 4" deep (they must be checked at the Security tent)
· aerosol containers
· non-aerosol spray (prescriptions for medical needs are permitted)
· any pointed object other then pens and pencils (i.e., knives, knitting needles, letter openers, etc.)
· electric stun guns, martial arts weapons or devices
· guns, replica guns, ammunition, and fireworks
· knives of any size
· mace and pepper spray
· razors and box cutters
The following items are allowed:
· battery-operated electronic devices, as well as medical devices
· cameras, video recorders, or any type of recording device
· creams, lotions, or perfumes
The United Nations Headquarters is a workplace: delegates hold their meetings in the chambers that you are going to visit, they pass by the corridors that you will be using. Therefore, group leaders need to ensure that their groups follow the tour rules.

Be prepared to split up big groups and classes while ensuring that each group has a chaperone. Please note that a maximum of 20 people (including adults) are allowed per group. Please check with the tour coordinator on how to divide your group. If your group has anyone in a wheelchair or needs special attention, kindly contact us for special arrangements (unitg@un.org; tel. 212-963-4440). Group size allowed on tour is subject to change.
